After the emergency is over, real work begins. Rehab funds the medical care, farrier work, nutrition, and patient training that help horses recover and become adoptable, sound, and safe.

What your purchase supports

  • Diagnostics & vet care: exams, radiographs, ultrasounds, lameness workups, meds, wound care, bandaging, rechecks
  • Hoof rehab: corrective trimming and shoeing, thrush/white-line therapy, boots/pads, laminitis management
  • Nutrition plans: safe re-feeding protocols, forage-first diets, senior feeds, electrolytes and mineral balancing
  • Therapeutic work: hand-walking, stretching, pole work, long-lining, controlled turnout, hydro/PEMF/bodywork when vet-approved
  • Comfort & management: blankets, fly control, stall mats, slow-feed nets, ulcer support
  • Behavior refresh: groundwork basics, trailer loading, tying, stall manners, confidence building to improve adoptability
  • Specialist transport & follow-ups when a case needs advanced care

How the 5% works

  1. You order. We earmark 5% of every order for horse welfare.
  2. We allocate quarterly across four pillars: Rescue, Rehab, Sanctuary, Education.
  3. Rehab distributions go to vetted nonprofits providing evidence-based recovery and conditioning.
  4. We publish receipts and totals on the Impact page each quarter.

We’ll list specific partners once selections are finalized. Until then, Rehab funds are reserved for organizations that meet our criteria below.

Partner criteria for Rehab funding

  • Registered nonprofit in good standing
  • Vet oversight and written treatment plans
  • Transparent case notes, photos, and outcome tracking
  • Ethical training and adoption policies; no “quick flips”
  • References from veterinarians, farriers, or accredited networks
  • Willingness to share results we can publish on the Impact page

What success looks like

  • Improved BCS (body condition score) and topline
  • Soundness gains documented by a vet or trained evaluator
  • Before/after hoof progress with farrier notes
  • Behavior milestones that make adoption or return to work possible
  • Safe placement with follow-up support

No. It’s a purchase. We donate from our revenue and report results publicly.

Can I suggest a rehab facility?

Yes. Send us your recommendation. We vet candidates for future quarters.

Do you fund alternative therapies?

If they’re vet-prescribed and part of a documented plan, yes.

Does the 5% apply to discounted items?

Yes. We calculate 5% on the product subtotal (before tax/shipping, after discounts).

How do you keep this accountable?

Quarterly postings on the Impact page include amounts, dates, and receipts.
