Education

Learn. Advocate. Prevent.

The fastest way to help horses is to prevent neglect and confusion before they start. Education funds practical resources, clinics and outreach that make everyday care clearer for owners, barns, and communities.

What your purchase supports

  • Owner education: feed basics, body-condition scoring, deworming, dental and vaccination schedules, safe weight gain for thin horses
  • Hoof & soundness clinics: trimming/shoeing fundamentals, laminitis management, thrush/white-line prevention, safe turnout on varying footing
  • First-aid & emergency prep: wound care, colic recognition, when to call the vet, trailer-load practice, evacuation planning
  • Welfare standards & reporting: humane handling, enrichment, stress reduction, how to report concerns responsibly
  • Youth & community programs: school visits, 4-H/FFA lessons, scholarships for responsible-care workshops
  • Practical tools: printable checklists, stable posters, barn safety audits, owner handbooks (digital and print)

How the 5% works

  1. You order. We earmark 5% of every order for horse welfare.
  2. We allocate quarterly across four pillars: Rescue, Rehab, Sanctuary, Education.
  3. Education distributions fund vetted nonprofits and programs delivering hands-on learning and free or low-cost resources.
  4. We publish receipts and totals each quarter on the Impact page.

We’ll list specific partners here after selections are finalized. Until then, Education funds are reserved for organizations that meet the criteria below.

Partner criteria for Education funding

  • Increased early-vet-call rates for colic and injury
  • Measurable learning gains from clinics and toolkits
  • Wider community awareness of humane standards and support options

Shop with purpose. Your order funds real-world learning that keeps horses healthy and out of crisis.
